The dairy offers assorted flavors of  gourmet goat cheese,
 including garlic, double cream walnut, triple cream pecan and others.

Now taking applications for home delivery and cheese of the month club.

Metairie Humane does the best they can with limited resources and space to fill the void left from the lack of an active cat and dog rescue program in Jefferson Parish for Greater New Orleans and Metairie Louisiana! Metairie Humane has placed many companion animals with their loving forever homes, and with your support (we need volunteers and donors), more cats and dogs will be saved from unneccessary euthanization. Metairie Humane is a strong no-kill supporter and pensions cats and dogs who are otherwise lost.

Howl-O-Weenie

Metairie Humane Presents the 'Howl O Weenie' Pet and Pal Parade and Contest

The New Orleans Zephyrs Baseball Stadium parking lot on Airline Drive (LA 61)

Howl-O-Weenie Afternoon (Saturday October 31st, 2009)

From 12 Noon until 4pm

Pets, with their pals, will participate in a contest & resulting parade around the parking lot, in costume.

Winners of various categories will receive prizes. Participants make a small donation to Metairie Humane for participating in the competition and spectators are all free.

Funds raised from this event will be used towards financing the operating expenses of Metairie Humane, including veterinary care, housing, training, advertising, and associated expenses of preparing homeless cats and dogs for a permanent adoptive home.
